Boa Tarde,
I'm from Belgium and still learning the language so I'm writing in English. We are planning to move to Portugal next year (castelo branco area) and I was wondering what it takes to import my car (Range Rover P38 from 1997). I was also wondering what it will cost (import taxes).
Obridago por todos informationes,

Cane,
Sorry about my english but I don't practice this language since high school.
I think that the taxes are related with the year and the potencial of your car. There are magazines that bring that taxes on. I will try to see if I can find how can it costs... As your car has ten years I think that it is cheaper than if it was a new car...

Being that you are from Belgium, I'm not sure wether you have to pay any import taxes, or not. The prices in the link before are for vehicles bought abroad by portuguese.
I'll see what I can find.
I'll see what I can find.
You're a car, you're a sitting room, you're a bedroom, you're a frigde, you're a powerstation that charges up my phone every night, but most of all, what you are, what you've become... is a mate. And that's what makes a car special. That's what makes a car great. You start to think of it as a person... You start to love it.

If you move here as a residente and give up your residence in Belgium
and if you have the car in your possession for a minimum of 6 monthes
you will be able to import the car without tax. You will also be able to do
it to a second car meant to your wife. Otherwise you will have to pay
tax.
